Alberici Constructors acquires Atlanta-based WWPS
WWPS was founded in 1997 and has projects primarily in the greater Atlanta area. Founder Keith Willis will become the general manager for the Southeast region for Alberici.
Alberici and WWPS have worked together on several projects, including a $37 million combined sewer overflow storage facility in Atlanta.
The acquisition is part of Alberici’s strategy to expand its presence in the Southeast, said Greg Kozicz, president and chief executive of Alberici.
In acquiring other companies, he said, Alberici starts with a series of joint ventures with targeted companies.
Alberici, which was founded 90 years ago, provides general contracting, construction management, specialty contracting and design-build services in various fields, including general building, health care, industrial, manufacturing and water-wastewater.
